With Lin’s resignation, Alibaba has now lost three senior Qwen leaders in 2025 alone, prompting questions about organizational stability within one of China’s premier AI development teams.
The establishment of this task force places Alibaba’s highest-ranking technology executives in direct oversight of AI model innovation. The triumvirate of Wu, Wu Zeming, and Zhou Jingren will collaborate to allocate resources across the entire corporate structure.
