The Swedish-based H100 Group disclosed a pre-tax deficit of SEK 98.2 million for the April-June quarter of 2026. Company executives attributed the majority of losses to accounting write-downs related to declining cryptocurrency valuations. During the same period, the firm substantially increased its digital asset position to 3,506.4 BTC through a major acquisition completed in August.
Cryptocurrency Write-Downs Fuel Quarterly Deficit at H100 Group
The Swedish company’s operational deficit hit SEK 88.7 million during the three-month period ending in June. This represented a significant deterioration compared to the SEK 11.5 million deficit registered in the same quarter of the previous year. Notably, approximately SEK 83.5 million of the reported loss stemmed from non-cash accounting adjustments.
On a pre-tax basis, H100 Group’s deficit stood at SEK 98.2 million for the quarter. Of this total, non-cash entries constituted SEK 93.3 million. The primary driver behind these accounting losses was impairment charges tied to Bitcoin holdings as digital asset prices experienced downward pressure throughout the reporting window.
Despite the substantial losses, operational revenue held steady at SEK 3 million for the quarter. Total sales came in at SEK 2.9 million, essentially flat versus the SEK 3 million recorded twelve months prior. The company’s cash consumption from operations improved, narrowing to negative SEK 5.1 million from negative SEK 14.9 million year-over-year.
Half-Year Performance Shows SEK 253.6 Million Deficit
For the initial six months of the fiscal year, H100 Group recorded a pre-tax deficit totaling SEK 253.6 million. This contrasted sharply with the SEK 26.5 million loss documented during the first half of 2025. Accounting adjustments that didn’t impact actual cash flow represented SEK 241.8 million of the current period’s deficit.
The operational deficit for the half-year period climbed to SEK 234.6 million. Combined expenses from asset depreciation, amortization, foreign exchange fluctuations, and impairment write-downs totaled SEK 222.5 million. These costs escalated considerably following the company’s strategic pivot toward Bitcoin treasury management initiated in 2025.
Nevertheless, operational income for the six-month span edged higher to SEK 6.1 million from SEK 5.8 million in the prior year. Sales revenue remained flat at SEK 5.8 million during both periods. As of June 30, H100 maintained SEK 18.1 million in liquid assets alongside a solid equity ratio of 86%.
Digital Asset Holdings Surge to 3,506 BTC
At the conclusion of June, H100’s cryptocurrency position stood at 1,051.03 BTC prior to executing a significant corporate transaction. The company finalized the acquisition of NSD AS along with associated entities on August 10. This strategic move brought an additional 2,455.37 BTC into the portfolio, elevating total holdings to 3,506.4 BTC.
The deal positioned H100 among Europe’s most prominent publicly-traded firms utilizing a Bitcoin treasury model. To finance the transaction, H100 issued approximately 790.5 million new equity shares. These shares were priced at SEK 1.86 each, establishing a total transaction value approaching SEK 1.47 billion.
Today, H100 operates a diversified business model that merges its Bitcoin accumulation strategy with existing ventures in health technology and financial technology sectors. The company’s wellness platforms deliver digital solutions for fitness professionals and lifestyle coaches. Additionally, H100 provides technological infrastructure for trading operations and derivatives marketplaces.
Strategic Transformation Following Treasury Enhancement
H100 commenced its Bitcoin treasury approach in June 2025 while maintaining its established health technology operations. This strategic direction fundamentally altered the organization’s balance sheet composition and capital framework. Bitcoin now functions as the primary benchmark against which all capital allocation decisions are assessed.
Leadership changes accompanied the August acquisition. Eirik Grøttum assumed the chief executive position on August 11, succeeding Johannes Wiik. Simultaneously, Peter C. Warren joined as chief investment officer on August 12, bringing additional expertise to guide the company’s investment strategy.
Looking forward, H100 intends to leverage its Bitcoin reserves alongside trading activities, capital management initiatives, technology development, and potential merger opportunities. The organization’s stated objective centers on increasing Bitcoin holdings on a per-share basis progressively. The company’s most recent interim financial report contained no specific forward-looking financial projections.
