The announcement comes during an active product cycle for Supermicro, despite the company’s stock experiencing approximately 31% decline over the preceding six-month period.
These server systems address the needs of facilities that struggle to accommodate traditional high-density computing equipment. The RTX PRO 4500 represents a single-slot, energy-efficient GPU capable of operating at just 165 watts minimum — making it viable for edge deployments that previously lacked sufficient resources for comparable hardware.

The 1U and 2U configurations enable direct replacement of existing CPU-focused servers without requiring adjustments to rack infrastructure, power distribution, or cooling systems. The product lineup divides into three categories. Large-scale AI configurations utilize 4U and 5U chassis supporting up to 8 GPUs per system.
